RIVERTON, Utah – June 30, 2022 – Mountain View Village, Riverton’s 85-acre mixed-use destination lifestyle center is celebrating its Phase II Grand Opening kickoff celebration June 30 through July 4. Starting with an opening ceremony June 30 at 10am to open shops, restaurants and Cinemark theatres, there will be concerts, fireworks, and free family fun daily.
Paw Patrol Party, Nitro Circus makes their first west coast, intermountain stop of the season with a free show Saturday and tribute bands perform live including Kalimba: Earth, Wind, and Fire, The Long Run- Eagles Tribute Band and Garth Live! Utah’s own String FX perform live, fireworks and the Utah National Guard flag ceremony are all a part of the July 4th weekend celebration.
The first 500 guests June 30 will receive a swag bag with five chances to win a $500 shopping spree. Queue line begins at 9am, Thursday June 30 at the shopping center in Riverton, near the new show fountains.
Those opening during the festivities this weekend include Athleta, Buckle, Cinemark, Cotton On, Cotton On Kids, Lovesac, Purple, Sephora and Royal Coffee giving away free java all day June 30. Journey’s opens Saturday with Janela Bay hosting a store Grand Opening 5:00pm to 9:00pm including giveaways and special offers.
“We are so proud to unveil our gift to the Riverton community with Brian Keith’s one-of-a-kind sculptures inspiring generations. The lifestyle center is intended to welcome guests to discover our placemaking as Mountain View Village was built with an invitation to live, work, shop and play,” General Manager, Celeste Dorris shared.
Lighting McQueen from the 95 Garage is making a pit stop at Stearman Plaza
for the weekend; with fun character meet and greets daily like Buzz, the M&M’s,
Elvis, Cruella and more. The celebration team will be ready to take guests
photos in front of five insta-worthy backdrops with Maverick & Goose, stilt
walkers and more personalities at the Village. Kids can receive Jedi Training,
face painting, join in an Encanto sing a long, Mad Science shows and much
more, including delicious samples from local restaurants.
Generations, a book written by Ramona Merrill, illustrated by Madeline
Richardson to commemorate the occasion, will be released on site June 30, with
all proceeds going to Operation Hero. With the donation the donor will receive
a Wanna Cinn cinnamon roll, who are opening soon. The charity provides
support and honors Utah fallen service member since September 11th, donations
will be accepted to take home an autograph copy.
